Entrants must be financial members of the Australian Deer Association at the time the trophy was taken.
Entries shall be by way of written application to the Trophy Registrar at 3402 Carngham / Streatham Rd Carranballac Vic 3361, and shall be in his hands no late than seven days after the close of the competition period December 31. The Trophy Registrar shall accept entries into the competition upon acknowledgement.
The responsibility for entering the trophy in the competition rests solely on the entrant and no intermediary is authorise to act on the Trophy Registrar's behalf.
Entrants shall supply full particulars of the trophy, including the date it was taken and the State in which it was taken and the tag number where tags are issued under the relevant State's game laws. Hog Deer taken in Victoria must have the checking stations receipt number included. Fallow Deer taken in Tasmania must have been taken in the gazetted season.
Trophies shall be of wild deer taken in Australia during the competition period.
NOTE: For a deer to be classed as wild under competition rules it must have been: Free roaming and not restricted by any form of containment. It must have grown its' antlers in the wild, without human intervention. It must not have been released from containment for the purpose of hunting.

All trophies entered in the National Trophy Competition that score within two points of another trophy, are to be remeasured after a minimum 60 days drying period by a State Measurer, Chief Measurer or Certifying Measurer, and two Accredited Measurers. All measurements to be checked until agreed upon by all panel members.
Owners of trophies for national and Top 50 status will be required to sign a Hunter Declaration Form to declare the trophy was taken in accordance with the rules as outlined above. NOTE: Anyone making a false declaration to the Trophy Registrar shall face disciplinary action from the ADA.
Any 'hard to measure' trophies to be checked or have clarification from the Chief Measurer.
