National Park closures in Victoria

A number of the National Parks available for recreational deer hunting have been closed to the public as a part of the COVID-19 restrictions. This includes the Alpine National Park, Baw Baw National Park and Lake Eildon National Park.

This will impact regional based hunters who live close to those parks. We recommend that you consult the Parks Victoria website for the most up to date closure information. Be sure to check the specific page for the relevant Parks as they are not yet listed on the COVID-19 page.

Victorian hunters in regional areas (subject to Stage 3 restrictions) can leave home for permitted exercise and recreation activities that are outdoors and can be done by yourself, members of your household, or with one other person.
This includes, fishing, hunting, boating, surfing, recreational diving, learning to drive, or reading in a park.

Exercise and recreational activities should be undertaken at the closest available locations to your home.
